In this lecture you will get to know the basic tools, concepts and terminology you will need for different types of linguistic analyses later in your student career.
We will discuss the nature of language in general, get to know the different linguistic levels of Phonology, Morphology, Semantics, Pragmatics, Sociolinguistics and we will even have a peek at the History of English.
The lecture will be accompanied by weekly online tests to prepare you for the final written exam.
