Dozent: Dr. Jens Kube, Agentur für Wissenschaftskommunikation
ist seit 2003 als Wissenschaftskommunikator tätig, zunächst in der Pressestelle des Alfred-Wegener-Instituts für Polar- und Meeresforschung, später als Leiter des Bereichs Wissenschaftskommunikation beim Projektträger DESY. Seit 2015 ist er selbständig und bietet ein breites Portfolio von
Dienstleistungen im Bereich Wissenschafts-PR und Wissenschaftsjournalismus an.
Beschreibung:
Der Workshop ist darauf ausgelegt, Nachwuchswissenschaftler*innen bei öffentlichen Vorträgen, Konferenzteilnahmen, Begehungen, Begutachtungen und weiteren Aktivitäten in der Öffentlichkeit eine gute Figur machen zu lassen: mit klassischem Vortrag sowie Elementen von Elevator Pitch, Science Slam und Famelab. Die Teilnehmer*innen sollen möglichst Präsentationen über eigene Forschungsthemen mitbringen, die sie schon einmal auf einer Tagung oder bei einem Vortrag gezeigt haben und die als Übungsmaterial dienen können.
Nach dem Kurs wissen die Teilnehmer*innen, wie sie bei der Präsentation ihrer wissenschaftlichen Inhalte das Interesse der Interaktionsgruppe wach halten und wie sie ihre Kernbotschaften selbst identifizieren und an den Mann oder die Frau bringen.
Inhaltliche Schwerpunkte:
• Wie viel kann ich in welcher Zeit sagen?
• Was ist ein Elevator Pitch und welche Elemente daraus sind für mich als Forscher*in relevant?
• Was kann ich aus den Erfolgsformaten „Science Slam“ und „Famelab“ lernen?
• Wie steige ich in meinem Thema ideal ein, wie tief gehe ich in die Details und welche Botschaft gebe ich den Gesprächspartnern mit?
• Was ist ein Küchenzuruf und wie nutze ich ihn?
• Was gehört auf Präsentations„folien“, und wie gestalte ich diese optimal?
• Wie präsentiere ich mich bei einer „Postersession“?
