This PWD course for Master's students presents an opportunity for you to test the full range of English language knowledge and skills that you have acquired thus far in your studies. We will examine texts in German written by renowned writers of non-fiction, including essayists, academics, historians and scientists. Students will be required to select a text, translate a passage from it and lead a class session on that text, and then write a paper of 2500 words at the end of the semester containing a tranlsation of 1000 words and an analytical self-evaluation of your translation choices of 1500 words.
